Practice Areas

We provide superior legal representation across several areas to sophisticated and discerning clients.

General and Commercial Litigation. Our practice includes all types of civil litigation, including contract matters, general business disputes, disputes among commercial entities and private parties, labor and employment disputes, intellectual property disputes, land use, real estate and other commercial disputes.  In addition to our trial work we have litigated matters in arbitration, mediation and other types of alternative dispute resolution.

Professional Liability and Health Care. We have represented medical and accounting professionals in malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, and other professional liability matters, including a long history of representing health care professionals in medical malpractice matters in state court and before regulatory boards.  We also have litigated employment contracts between health care professionals and hospitals, as well as being involved in credentialing matters before medical boards and hospitals.

Personal Injury.  We continue to represent injured parties in personal injury and general tort matters.

Appellate Practice.  Our firm has significant experience in pursuing appeals before all Arizona state and federal courts, and we are also available to handle appeals of cases that were tried at the trial court level by other firms.

No one litigation strategy fits every case.  We pride ourselves on implementing common-sense strategies for each particular client and matter.  For example, wherever appropriate, we prepare pretrial dispositive motions designed to avoid the high cost of discovery and trial altogether.  Positioning a case for mediation and advantageous settlement is also an important part of our overall approach to litigation. Some matters, of course, do not settle and cannot be resolved voluntarily or by dispositive motions.  In that event, we have an outstanding record of winning at trial
